Major General E. E. Emekah, General Officer Commanding (GOC) 6 Division of the Nigerian Army, commended Indorama-Nigeria’s contributions to Nigeria’s gas industrialization during a courtesy visit on June 17, 2025. Leading senior officers to the company’s complex in Eleme, near Port Harcourt, he pledged continued military support to ensure Indorama’s sustained growth and progress, recognizing its vital role in Nigeria’s economic development.

The GOC, also the Land Component Commander of Operation Delta Safe, marveled at the lush greenery enveloping the Indorama Complex, exclaiming “everywhere is green!” The serene ambiance left a lasting impression on the visiting delegation, which included Brigadier General S. Ahmed, Commander 6 Division Garrison, warmly welcomed by Indorama’s Managing Director, Manish Mundra, and Head of Security, Bryan Hayes.

Mundra highlighted the Nigerian military’s pivotal role in securing Indorama’s operations for over 20 years, fostering an environment conducive to industrial success. He outlined the company’s achievements, including revitalized polymer production, two fertilizer plants producing 8,000 tonnes of urea daily, a dedicated export port, and a nationwide fertilizer distribution network and an agronomy services team.

Mundra unveiled Indorama’s $4 billion expansion plan to strengthen its role as Nigeria’s top non-oil exporter, mainly through fertilizer exports, and thanked the military for their unwavering support.
